About Us
Architectural Elevator Consulting, LLC (AEC) delivers construction, modernization, design and audit services to improve the performance and safety of new and existing elevator and escalator systems. Headquartered in Seattle, AEC also has offices in California to partner with real estate developers, building owners, architects, government officials and property managers across the United States and Canada to develop effective vertical transportation solutions.
Founded by Bob Nicholson, a 30-year veteran of the architectural services industry and award-winning specialist in elevator modernization, he serves as President and Lead Consultant for the firm. Jack Arns runs the California office and James Young manages the field operation. All are Certified QEI Inspectors.

QuickDraw is an express CAD service which delivers complete elevator drawings, including cab interiors, fixtures and machine rooms, in less than 3 days. AEC is highly regarded by architects and developers for itsaccurate drawings and its detailed review process of elevator shop drawings.
Elevator and Building Code Training sessions that focus on new regulations and changes also are available to support the educational needs of building management teams.
